Moving around. Casa Mosquito is perfectly located, at the border of Ipanema and Copacabana. Moving around is very easy. You can walk to Ipanema and Copacabana beaches in about 10 minutes. The metro station of Ipanema General Osòrio is also very close and connects you to the historic center in about 15 minutes. By taxi you can quickly reach the districts of Lagoa and Jardim Botânico, where are tens of charming restaurants. But first of all you are close to the sea, to the white sand beaches and to Ponta Arpoador, where we suggest to enjoy the sunset. Bars, restaurants, shops, Rio nightlife: everything is at a walking distance. The location is definitely one of the best features of Casa Mosquito.

Setting and style. This stylish Hotel in Ipanema is built in a charming 40’s colonial mansion overlooking the cidade maravilhosa. Just renovated, Casa Mosquito is on 2 levels. The ground floor is wide and airy, featuring a concierge area at the entrance, a living room with design sofas and coffee tables, and a big wooden dining table. This space faces the panoramic terrace, a ravishing place to relax, shaded by white curtains moving with the wind. Deckchair and a spacious bed with cuscions are ideal to take a brake and enjoy the interesting view on the Sugarloaf, the ocean and on Cantagalo. On the other side of the living room is a fascinating patio with tables. Enjoy the quite sound of the water spilling from the fountain after a day spent in Rio.

Poolside. This Rio Boutique Hotel has no swimming pool (but Ipanema beach is really very close).

Casa Mosquito Boutique Hotel features only 4 double rooms, very elegant and cozy. Each one has the name of a well-known Brazilian artist: you can choose the green Tom Jobim, the cozy Madame Satã , the beautiful Heitor Villa-Lobos or the lovely Pixinguinha.
Breakfast. The continental breakfast of Casa Mosquito is served when you rise and is really yummy: homemade preserves, tropical fruit, toasts, coffee or tea. There is also an extra menu upon request, offering eggs with bacon and crêpes. If you want, you can have breakfast in the room.
Hotel restaurant. The chef of Casa Mosquito offers a fine cuisine characterized by Mediterranean touches – French and Portuguese. Guests are welcome in the kitchen and invited to discover his creative receipts. You can have lunch (12.00 am to 7.00 pm) or dinner in one of the many terraces of the Hotel.
Minibar. All rooms are equipped with a minibar.
Around the Hotel. Around the Hotel. After beach you can walk to Arpoador to watch the sunset tasting a fresh coconut water (agua de coco) and than go to Delirio Tropical to have a nice salad. For a good dinner, Zaza Bistro offers a mix of Asian and Brazilian food in a really charming atmosphere, Le Vin is a good choice to taste a French cuisine in a typical carioca frame and Garota de Ipanema is ideal to try a Brazilian piranha (meat). After dinner you can have a drink at Barzin, a typical carioca bar, or at the sophisticated Astor Bar.

This is possibly the most charming room of the Hotel. Colored in red, with pieces of period furniture, it has a lovely private balcony characterized by black and white checkered floor. It features a Queen size bed and a spacious bathroom with bathtub, covered with dark red mosaic.
Colored in caramel, this is the biggest room of the Hotel, with a private balcony overlooking the flowered courtyard. It features a Queen size bed, Wi-Fi access, iPod dock, wardrobe, safe, Sat TV, minibar and other amenities. The open-plan bathroom has a large shower.
Madame Satâ Room
Colored in brown, with stylish red lamps, this room is very cozy and bright. It has a Queen size bed, Sat TV, air conditioning, wardrobe, safe, iPod dock and minibar. The en-suite open-plan bathroom is covered with brown mosaic and features a wide shower.
Tom Jobim Room
This is the smallest room of the Hotel, but is really comfortable, with frame windows and private balcony overlooking the tropical garden. It features Queen size bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi access, Sat TV, a wide wardrobe, safe, iPod dock and minibar.
